Old Dairy
To appreciate the amenities of The Preserve, one needs to do little more than go outside and explore! Bath County, VA offers some of the most stunning mountain landscape in the country, and provides an endless pallet of outdoor adventures for all ages, and athletic abilities.
Ownership within The Preserve comes with the privilege and exclusive use of the private Old Dairy Community Center, its gourmet Milk House Market, and comprehensive pool, spa, fitness, special events, and family gathering facilities. Originally built in 1928, the Dairy provided a self-sustained diet of beef, pork, poultry, dairy and ice cream to The Omni Homestead Resort through the late 1960’s. A $7MM restoration, completed in 2007, now provides modern facilities comfortably fitting the diverse collection of homeowners who now occupy its grounds. The Old Dairy Community Center also houses our Red Roots Realty real estate sales office, Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust, and the vacation rental General Management Team of Natural Retreats.

Known for being The Birthplace of Resorting in America, The Omni Homestead Resort has welcomed traveling guests from around the world for over 250 years. Its truly one of a kind facilities offer an elegant charm and Southern Hospitality like no other, including natural thermal springs, renowned spa, two of the highest ranked golf courses in the country, clay court tennis, championship shooting club, private trout streams, show level equestrian facilities and riding trails, a ski area, ice skating rink, outdoor and indoor pool facilities, extensive fitness, tubing hill and zip line/adventure ropes course…to name a few.
Access to these private facilities is achieved by way of Membership to the Omni® Homestead Golf and Tennis Club.
